Looking for a way to get into a festive mood? Port Coquitlam, Port Moody & Coquitlam are holding countless holiday events perfect for all ages!<\/strong><\/p>\n

With the holiday season upon us the Tri City area is doing it’s best to keep everyone spirited and jolly. From ornament making workshops, to live shows\/concerts, and caroling…there really is a little something for everyone.<\/p>\n

Port Coquitlam’s Season Offerings:<\/strong><\/p>\n

With the slogan ‘Winter in the City’<\/strong> Port Coquitlam has gone all out this year with a focus on holiday workshops.<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

Wreath Workshop <\/strong><\/p>\n

What: Here’s a chance to create a unique holiday wreath. The city will provide tree clippings, pinecones, and decorative materials.<\/p>\n

Where: The Outlet 2248-2250 McAllister Ave<\/p>\n

When: Friday, December 9 @ 6-8pm & Saturday, December 10 @ 2-4pm <\/p>\n

Calligraphy <\/strong><\/p>\n

What: Decorate your holiday cards and gift tags with your own unique, beautiful handwriting. Learn the art of lettering using authentic calligraphy dip pens and ink. Tools and paper will be provided.<\/p>\n

Make Your Own Holiday Ceramic Tile <\/strong><\/p>\n

What: Decorate your home, or gift someone an ornamental clay tile, made by you! Explore the art of shaping this medium into a unique gift. In the first session, participants will learn basic techniques of working with clay: wedging, slab-making and surface decoration. The second session will focus on painting. The tile will be glazed and fired, ready for pick up one week later.<\/p>\n

Holiday Ornament Making<\/strong><\/p>\n

What: Make your own pottery heirloom ornaments! This workshop will give participants the opportunity to decorate a pottery ornament with their own unique design. All tools, materials and instruction will be provided. When finished, each ornament will be clear glazed and fired in the kiln.<\/p>\n

Drop and Shop! (6-12yrs) <\/strong><\/p>\n


<\/strong>What: Get your holiday shopping done while our instructors help your child\/children create an artistic gift and gift bag for someone special or watch a holiday themed movie in the Michael Wright Art Gallery. Children are encouraged to bring snacks and their favorite blanket and pillow.<\/p>\n

Eagles Eyes | Summer Sundays Christmas Concert<\/strong><\/p>\n

What: Enjoy this annual Christmas concert which is a fundraiser for Summer Sundays. Performance by the Eagle Eyes, an Eagles tribute band.<\/p>\n

Inlet Theatre Music Series – Marcus Mosely Ensemble<\/strong><\/p>\n

What: Marcus Mosely (of the Sojourners) will lead the Marcus Mosely Ensemble (MME) through some highly infectious Gospel Sounds with a Christmas theme. The Ensemble’s repertoire spans gospel, jazz, R&B, pop, rock, folk, and blues. You can look forward to a night of rocking entertainment that will be glorious and happy!<\/p>\n

This year Coquitlam has a flurry of events largely focused on its Lights at Lafarge attraction.<\/p>\n

Dogwood Live Winter Solstice Dinner with Elvis (Steve Elliot)<\/strong><\/p>\n

What: Come enjoy a Winter Solstice themed evening with drinks, dinner, and an engaging performance.  Steve Elliot of Elvis Elite is a world class tribute singer and entertainer from Vancouver, BC.  Steve had the Young Elvis does to a tee, along with the hip swivels and classic duck walk that made Elvis so recognizable in the 50’s. Crooning through the ballad and rockabilly hits, Steve is ready to shake things up!<\/p>\n

Festive Dog Walk Night at Lights at Lafarge<\/strong><\/p>\n

Glen Pine Holiday Variety Show<\/strong><\/p>\n

What: Celebrate the holiday season with a wonderful variety show. Every year Glen Pine’s funny and talented entertainers cheer you up you with their lively songs, skits and dances. Family, friends and grandchildren are encouraged to attend.<\/p>\n
